B-b-b-but Kyrie is a top 3 PG. LeBron has a superteam around him. The Cavs have a .182 winning percentage without LeBron since he re-joined their squad. They go from being the best team or at least one of the two or three best teams in basketball with him to being the Sixers without him.

They get way worse without him on the floor, but could it be that when Lebron sits the team lowers the intensity bar down a bit due to their leader obviously not caring about the game?

You would still think Kyrie or Love or one of their role players would step up to help the Cavs win games when LeBron isn't there. But that never happens.

all the more reason why LeBron should win MVP every single season. GOATs do GOAT things.

You just have to ignore the people that try to discredit Lebron's accomplishments. Last year proved that the goalposts will always be moved, there will always be a "point" they make as to why Lebron isn't one of the top 2-3 players ever.

I mean, he led all players in every stat category, while leading his team to the biggest finals comeback ever, against the winningest regular season team and defending champions. And people say, "but Kyrie made one shot", or "Green missed a game" (These same people have no problem knocking Lebron for his finals loss the previous year in a series without Love, Kyrie, and JR).

Any objective basketball fan cannot deny Lebron is top 5 all time (probably top 3). You just have to ignore the other idiots.

he is already the 2nd best ever. Will be 1-b when he is done. Some people will never admit that.

I love when people make the excuse that the team is built around LeBron so when he sits they are expected to lose but before LeBron came back the Cavs were bottom feeders

I actually agree. I have a theory that because of social media and the "legend" of MJ - no one (especially Lebron) will surpass MJ in the minds of most.

Lebron played under a social media microscope. Every mistake was blown up on the national stage and he was criticized ad nauseum- even for a meaningless November/December game. People ran with the "not clutch" BS and still do to some degree today, because of individual plays from 5+ years ago.

MJ never experienced that kind of blanket 24/7 oversaturated media coverage. He also benefits from the fact that he has sort of become a folk legend in that as time passes, he is remembered as some flawless basketball player who never played less than perfect or lost. MJ was amazing - the best of all time, but the way he's ingrained in the minds of some overvalues his greatness. Lebron isn't that far behind him. You could even make a legitimate argument that Lebron is the better player

If Jordan played in the social media era, he would be looked at completely different.

There is no doubt he has a bigger impact on his team.

I'm not really a Lebron fanboy and enjoy making fun of some of the Lebronies on here, but there really can't be any doubt that he's one of the most transcendent players in the history of the game.

He's pretty goddamn good.

If so, that makes it that much more amazing that Lebron could carry a team of scrubs with no self pride who can't win a game without him, no?

Not saying I agree with you, but your theory makes the entire Cavs team minus Lebron a bunch of bums.

I'm so glad we don't have to debate that any more, he put that one to bed last season. There is no way to argue him out of the top 3 all time, and it's not worth debating w/someone who tries.

Obviously LeBron is a great player, but part of that huge discrepancy is that the entire offense is designed around his very unique skill set.

Do other stars not have entire offenses built around them?

Did MJ not have the offense built around him?

Also - a lot of these games are the second night of back-to-back's, middle of a tough road trip, etc.

Of course they are significantly worse w/o him but I think there are some factors that skew that record that bad.

8 of those 22 games were when he took 2 straight weeks off, and they went 1-7.
