The Cleveland Cavaliers have 7-footer Joel Embiid at the top of their draft board, but it's still early in the process and the team needs to obtain medical information on the Cameroon native's back injury, sources told ESPN.com on Wednesday.

Sources also told ESPN.com that although Embiid is first on the organization's wish list, that doesn't mean that Cavs general manager David Griffin -- who had the interim tag lifted earlier this month -- isn't also considering Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker with the first pick.

Cleveland, which went into the draft lottery with a 2.4 percent chance of landing one of the top three picks, was far more focused on players who were likely to go in the middle or back end of the lottery than having to decide between Embiid, Wiggins and Parker.

I wouldn't draft him if I were Cleveland. I don't trust big men anymore long term. They always break down.

Go Wiggins or Parker.

The draft is a month away. Reports will come out that they are favoring each of the 3.

As long as the Magic get Exum or Wiggins I don't give a damn. Cavs drafting a 7 footer with back problems would not surprise me a bit. frick them.

I just don't get why people would draft on potential or projection? It baffles me, really.

Why wait when you can get Parker and have 15.0 ppg 7 reb as a rookie and will likely go up to 20 ppg within a few years.

ETA: If Wiggins is to timid to dominate the college game, I don't see him getting 20 ppg in the league

I've seen ESPN "sources" say today the Cavs favor Wiggins, Embiid and Parker already.

This is the right pick imo if there are not any red flags on his medical.

There are bigs in the NBA that have been playing basketball their whole lives that don't have the footwork he has and he's only been playing for basketball for like 3 years.

Plus they've got a great scoring punch between Kyrie and Waiters, but those two also seem to like letting guys drive right past them, which is why I seem them passing on Jabari. Embiid is a hell of a rim protector.

I love these DraftExpress videos

Joel Embiid has crazy potential but Wiggins and Parker to me are probably safe bets to be 20 pt scorers in the league while Embiid could very well be a bust like many big men before him.

Embiid is a pretty good center, but I see him having injury problems in his career, but hopefully he doesn't. Wiggins is the most talented player in the draft, and to me, it should be a no-brainer in selecting him. He will be an absolute star after a couple years.

I think he is most NBA ready, but the ceiling on Wiggins and Embiid is outrageous.

I'm very happy these picks are in the Eastern conference. Hopefully they all turn out to be awesome and help get some damn balance going in the NBA.

I take Wiggins if I'm them. Are they drafting to build around Lebron though and does that change their thinking? Gonna be interesting. Even with Lebron in mind I take Wiggins

I agree hes prolly the most athletic/talented guy in the draft but im still a little skeptical on Wiggins just because of his up and down scoring in college. The dude is a freak in terms of measurablesm but weve seen many great athletes who didnt succeed in the NBA. If you like taking high risk/high reward picks, then you go wiggins no doubt. I think Parker is the safest and most ready pick.
