Vermont's shot for the chance for the win went in but time had expired. Great effort by Vermont at Duke.

frick these types of games. What fun is it to watch when upset alerts come up just short? Duke gets treated the same now, whether they would have won by 50 or one.

This is the worst defensive Duke team I think I've ever seen. Anyone can pass through their defense. Vermont shot 65% from the field.

How is it that I can see these things but Coach K can't? He's sending his guards out all over the floor to half court leaving the paint wide open. The worst point guard in America could drive into there. Vermont's forwards were literally standing alone unguarded waiting to drop it in the basket because K is sending his players running all over the place.
what they need to do is pack it in and keep his players inside the perimeter. Make the other team shoot.

Exactly. I have no idea what the frick he is doing on defense. The offense is maybe the best in the country, but I have no clue what is going on.
With his defense, every team can keep it close. And if Duke's stars don't play well, they can lose any night. Hell, multiple guys played very well tonight, and they were one second away from losing again. If the Vermont point guard had a better handle, he could have made the pass quicker, and it would have gone in before the buzzer.
