Never watched much boxing and bought this fight with some friends. That was pretty disappointing. I was hoping it would last more than 30 seconds but Floyd running around for an hour really disappointed. Both guys walked back to their locker rooms looking the same as when they walked up. No real hits. A whole lot of meh.

You should've done some research on Floyd's style before dropping $100. This was expected.

This is modern boxing and this is all we get unless we get decent heavyweight boxing again.

MMA is where it's at now.

Happy I split it. Wouldn't have paid $100 myself. I understood it wouldn't be two heavyweights going blow for blow but there was nothing. Maybe 5 actual legit hard hits.

This. I'm not sure what everyone complaining expected. Not only that, but Floyd threw more punches and landed a higher percentage of them. It's not his fault that Pacquiao let him dictate how the match was fought. Ali did the same thing to Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle with rope-a-dope. You let them just throw whatever punches they want and exploit them when they get tired.

I mean, i think 90% of the people that watched the fight know that mayweather just plays defense all the time

I think what is really disappointing is that, and i think this is why the fight was such a big buildup, is due to their sytles, there was no way in theory that this fight could end by a decision. Either Manny was gonna press the pace and get to floyd or manny was gonna press the pace and floyd was gonna knock him the frick out. But there was no situation where both manny and floyd danced around the ring and didn't hit each other, and that's exactly what we got, though manny tried.

Forget Boxing, watch Weidman-Belfort May 23rd.

Why does everyone keep justifying that Floyd landed more punches than Manny. Floyd averages 12 a round and Manny 6. And they both left unhurt. Sweet science or not, that's down right embarrassing.

At no point was anybody close to even getting rocked. That's not a fight. All of Floyd's fights are like this, but given the hype and I knew so many would tune in expecting something different. Boxing on the whole is the only thing that got KOed tonight.

Wow, just watching my recorded Highly Questionable from yesterday. Lebatard just hit the nail on the head for my feelings:

"There's so many people who are going to be new to this that they're going to find out Saturday that we are watching people fight who are the weight of toddlers and they're gonna be disappointed that it's not very violent and there's no chance of a knockout."

I thought it may because Mayweather would be stupid to completely change his style and try to outpunch Pacquiao. My prediction was if it ended in a KO, it'd be Pac, but if it went to a decision, Mayweather would win.

I feel as empty as Coon's Corner most games after watching that fight.

Hoping Wilder can be that guy. I don't think he's ready for Wlad, but he might just be cocky enough to take it to him a way no one since Lamon Brewster has done.

Sorry, the chance passed when Vitali got too old. He was owning Lennox Lewis until the cut, Wlad is not as good as Vitali was.

You ever watch a football game with a casual football fan or someone who doesn't watch much football? How silly and ignorant do they sound while you are watching the game with them?

Casual fans don't understand what they are seeing when they watch Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match.
