Can ou step across the plate to hit a baseball?

I know you can't step ON the plate but could you step over it to say hit an intentional ball?

Not the OP's question but I have a very close friend who plays minor league ball and is a middle reliever in double A ball. He is hoping to be called up to triple A soon.

I played baseball up through high school and was usually on the all star team.

Last year, he threw a few pitches at me while warming up his arm. I could hardly focus on the ball (it is so freaking fast).

I swung a half a dozen times for fun and never touched it.

MLB batters are unreal athletes.

Yes, but only if you're a player for the Sooners. It's illegal for everyone else.
