Schiano from the start seemed determined to kind of undermine him to the media (just or not) and then backed off right before camp about it being a competition. Just him toeing the water like that and pussing out does nothing but bad things

Until he was benched last week, I've only heard Schiano say that Freeman is the starter since he's arrived.
quote:

Then they had that story about them asking Freeman to miss a team meeting and some players thinking it was done to make it seem like he blew it off. Whether its true or not, its obvious that the Players think hes atleast capable of doing something bush league like that and Freeman might not be the only one with a problem with Schiano

You're making big assumptions that it was players thinking that he would do this to make them think Freeman blew it off. The reason for him not being at the meeting was inevitably going to come out.

This was all based on Jay Glaazer reporting, who is buddy/buddy with Freeman.
quote:

And some of the stories about Freeman got leaked from somewhere, Bucs would be an obvious canidate

The Bucs didn't leak this. It makes ZERO sense. It would be beyond asinine for anyone in the organization to do so.

I agree. If you're shopping the guy for a trade, why would you totally cripple what little value he has left with something like this?

Other than spite, I dont see how the leak would benefit anybody - bucs, freeman, nfl, etc...

Because you have to convince your fanbase that this is for the betterment of the team.

He made a lot of "were all about competition" towards the QB position and never really gave Freeman any sort of vote of confidence until right before camp, roto had a couple blurbs about it from what i remember

I just have a hard time believe Schiano is guilt free in all this

Schiano is trying to save his job. Blaming and trashing the other guy gives him the opportunity to say we got rid of the problem child now give me another year with my guy Glennon.

Without searching, I think I might recall this.

I never gave it a second thought in the preseason, and going into week 1.

He's not, but he inherited a shite team, with a shite QB. The defense is where it needs to be, but the offense has regressed a great deal over the last 10 or so (regular season) games, and during that stretch, Freeman has been horrid.

I'm not a fan of Schiano, but I think the jury is still out on him, and this fiasco doesn't hurt my opinion of him as much as it does to others, because I know how much of a whiny bitch Freeman is.

Well, that's pretty fricking stupid, but either way there's a strong case for Luck>Freeman in 2012.

Regardless, there isn't a GM or coach in the NFL that would take Freeman over Luck now, or ever.

ETA: but I'd love to hear how you think there would

I will miss those JJesque type faces Freeman would always make at his teammates.

Now that Freeman is gone and a "Schiano guy" is at QB, Greg won't have any more excuses for his team's shitty performance.

I was just trying to make a point. Freeman wasn't that bad last year.

I would like to hear that. Freeman had a higher QBR, higher completion percentage, more touchdowns, less interceptions and more yards at the attempt.

Where did I say they would?

Why don't you compare him to a fellow 5 year starter? Your argument would not hold an ounce of water.
