Donaldson and Arenado will get more in their last arb years.

If Harper regains his 2015 form this season and next, he will get $500 mil

Well true, but still broke the record for highest 1 year arb deal. I wonder where Harper ends up in Free Agency. Has to be New York right??

Yeah good point.

You think he'll stay in the NL? Obviously the Dodgers have the resources to make a play for him

Don't know why Harper would want to leave the Nationals. They have a really good team plus their owners have plenty of money.

think its going to be the yankees or the dodgers because those are the only two organizations who seem to be willing to go insane for a player that they like and both will have some financial flexibility by the winter of 2018

Im just assuming that he will sign elsewhere, but Strasburg is a Boras guy too and he re upped with the Nats. Will be interesting to watch either way

As much as it pains me to admit, the MLB is better when the Yankees are relevant. Of course, if it was my team's star player we were talking about, I would immediately put that maxim on hold

They have a team full of relevant players 7-8 years older than Harper. Signing an 8-10 year contract with a team full of prospects like New York makes just as much sense.

Adam Eaton, Stephen Strasburg, Trea Turner, and Anthony Rendon are all 28 years old or younger. Add in Harper and that's a very good collection of young talent. There's no reason why they can't have a lot of success for the foreseeable future.
