Danny Kanell not looking too hot so far. If Iowa beats Stanford, then he'll really be in trouble.

Once again Pac hasn't played anyone.

At least the SEC has good tieins

Big 10 fans like to act like this shite is meaningless and all they care about is their school, but make no mistake about it that your conference prestige and perception is very important in a playoff where 4 teams make it out of 5 power conferences.

I'm not going to argue that it is the end all, be all, but don't be naive and act like it is irrelevant. Hell, I'd argue that it shouldn't matter, but I can still admit that it does.

No one is acting like anything. The fact is, for Ohio State this is irrelevant.

I don't believe this is true. Had the Big 12 had a clear conference winner in 2014 you would have been left out of the playoff because the Big 12 was held in higher regard than the Big 10 at that point.

I agree with you because college football has "polls" and not "standings." It's a biased world, and if you're not tooting your own horn, who will?

The only way that would have happened is if their champ had been undefeated, meaning not on equal ground. Ohio State got in for three main and stated reasons: strength of schedule, on-field performance in the conference championship game, and playing an extra game. Jeff Long himself stated Ohio State was the clear number four independent of Baylor and TCU, and that it wasn't close. Baylor or TCU could have been in the same situation as Oklahoma this year, and they still would have watched the playoff.

Only SEC teams that lost did so with a backup quarterback.

Didn't mean to start this as an SEC fanboy thread. Intent was to keep track of the standings just for fun, since I didn't see it posted here or on ESPN this year. The SEC just happened to win the cup this year
