1. BAYLOR (0-7) (unchanged): Close but no cigar
2. KANSAS (1-6) (unchanged): Predictable blowout vs. TCU
3. NORTH CAROLINA (1-7) (+1): Gave up 59 to VT
4. OREGON STATE (1-6) (+1): Bye week before Thursday's blowout loss vs. Stanford
5. ILLINOIS (2-5) (unchanged): Another Rutgers win means they have worst team in B1G on lockdown

DROPPED OUT: Missouri

HONORABLE MENTION: Florida State (again)

ALSO RECEIVING VOTES: Nebraska, Maryland, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Vanderbilt

Even though their record is 0-7 I think Baylor is the "best of worst"

At this point I'd have a hard time not putting Tennessee in the top 5. Havent scored an offensive TD in 3 straight games? WTF?

Jeez, just 2 years ago both teams were competing for conference titles, perhaps NY6 bowls, and now that.

Just an opinion, but I think even without scoring touchdowns, Tennessee would be a touchdown better than Mizzou, and probably a FG better than Vanderbilt.

Sorry, but KU should be #1. This is the worst team I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something as a KU football fan

At this point UNC has to be wondering what else they can do to move up (or is it down?).

I actually like mizzou’s offense. They have some talent and the play calling is aggressive. Defense is trash though.

Fortunately, this argument will be settled on the field in two weeks.

Baylor couldn't win their cupcake Liberty game. Kansas won theirs. Baylor is 1 until they win.

Stats from the KU-TCU game before TCU started playing their scrubs and the officials started a running clock due to "thunderstorms" that did not show up on radar.

Also during the halftime show Dave Wannerstadt asked Matt Leinert about KU's offense. Leinert started laughing so hysterically he couldn't talk. Pointed to Robert Smith and said "I can't do this, go to him."

BYU has to be in the conversation. They got smashed by ECU. Their offense may seriously be the worst in the country.

Baylor belongs on this list, because ultimately your record speaks for your quality. Having said that, they have lost 6 close games. Most of their big 4th quarter plays were all from true freshman last night.

BYU technically isn't a P5 school. If they were, I'd put them at 3 or 4. That ECU blowout was embarrassing.

Technically, Norte Dame isn't P5 but I included them last year because they almost play an ACC schedule.

You are what your record says you are.

Most people think Ohio State or Clemson would beat TCU, Wisconsin or Miami, but those three will be ranked higher until they lose.

I agree. Having said that they have lost 6 games by less than 50 points. Most 0-7 teams have more blowouts.

Whether it is trying to establish a new system, a terrible offensive line, or starting mainly freshman/sophomores (or more likely a combination of all of those factors) that is the cause of their failures, they still have those 6 losses (and another blow out).
