Most of the chatter seems to be around Chicago and Jimmy Butler. I wonder what type of package Boston would need to pull that off?

There are people who don't think Love is worth the #3 pick, but that is asinine. Even if you include his contract, Boston would kill themselves to draft someone the caliber of Love.

Especially if you utilized him right and fixed him mentally.

Love could really use a scenery change.

I think Love is great, but IMO there will be 5-6 studs coming out of this draft. They could probably get more than Love, and honestly I don't know how many wins Love adds to Boston.

#3 isn't enough to get Butler, obviously. 3+Bradley, and the bulls would probably push for more. Apparently the Wolves are also pushing for Butler.

It's not the pick. I would think everyone knows that he's worth far more than the pick, even the way he's been playing.

It's the package of players Cavs would need to get back for him. I don't know if the Cavs would be interested in Crowder and someone like Amir Johnson but that's what it would take, in addition to the pick.

Butler on the Wolves with their young talent would just be sick.

I think it would take one of their young studs to get him tho

So you think it will take more than the #3 pick to acquire a guy that was a #3 last year and played to his potential so far?

Don't think he compliments what they have. That fits more the mold of just getting as many talented players as you can, but that rarely makes a team better. Wolves just need to develop their core players and put role players around them. Butler is the kind of player you build around. Wolves already have two players like that and they compliment each other.

Wolves figure to need what a lot of teams need, a long wing that can hit a 3 and defend.

Like you said, Butler is a centerpiece. He takes the ball out of KAT's hands. It's a net positive but not worth it for what he costs. It's just like taking on Kevin Love, who is another centerpiece. The question isn't about does he make your team better. It's does he allow your team to be the best possible version of itself? I say no.

You're over thinking it. Butler takes 15.4 shots per game on a shitty Bulls team. The guys isn't someone that will throw up shots and mess up team chemistry. He'll play within the system (FEED KAT!) and will take the best wing defender off of WIggins. Now WIggins has more room to work with because he's not being locked up, KAT has more reliable shooters outside, and the team defense will be STOUT.
