When asked if UFC could overtake #boxing, Arum said "Their most popular fighter is a woman"

Can't see how MMA hasn't already overtaken boxing...Boxing sucks compared to MMA.

Well, that isn't what you said.

Floyd is more recognizable than her. Easily.

Rousey is big in the US. People around the world couldn't give a frick about her. People fail to realize how popular guys like Alvarez, Khan, and Wlad are outside the US.

I loved MMA when it first came out...no gloves and they beat the crap out of each other, but today it is too short and too much safety going on. I am 43 and miss the days of Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hearns etc.

What are my options?

There's no way in hell I'd choose to watch Mighty Mouse over a Gennady fight.

As a casual observer, I didn't even realize boxing was still around as a major sport. Seems like MMA took over a long time ago.

2 step plan for boxing to be relevant.

1. Make HW division matter again.

2. The best fighters fight each other. PERIOD.

If they do not fight, they vacate their title.

I think mma has peaked.

Too many UFC events, too many fighters pulling out due to injury, more stringent drug testing are just a few things that has made mma peak whether directly, indirectly, or intentional/unintentional

Injuries and Father Time.

The studs of the early to mid 2000's are getting old. Example... Henderson. Time to hang them up.
