Which Defensive tackle was the biggest bust? Both teams traded multiple picks to get their man.

Sullivan. He had 1.5 sacks in his entire career.

Sullivan. He played 3 seasons and had 1.5 sacks while DR played 6 seasons and had 16 sacks.

Sullivan..

Had the Saints stayed with their original picks in the first round of that draft they were projected to take:

Anq.Bolden WR. Florida State
J WHitten TE. Tenn.

Wasn't Bolden a 2nd rounder?

I know the Saints got Stinchcomb in the 2nd.

I also know that the Cowboys got Witten in the 3rd.

I mean the Saints took Vaughn Dunbar with the 21st pick one year I believe.

DTs aren't supposed to get tons of sacks FWIW.

This is not a pro Sullivan argument tho bc he was a huge bust.

what about tackles and games played, are they not supposed to get a bunch of those either?

I guess I'll be the one to post on DeWayne as a Jets fan.

The biggest mark against him is more on the organization than him, they were convinced/paranoid that the Patriots wanted him. So they sold the farm to move up and get him.

Guys like Tony Dungy compared him to Sapp for the Tampa 2, which Herm ran. He never really broke out in that system, and you can argue he had better success as an undersized and ill-fitting NG in Mangini's 3-4. Then they eventually ship him off to Denver for nothing. Retires the next year due to the bone on bone condition in his knee that he played with(which should have been a red flag from the start).

I'd say Sullivan because Robertson at least contributed. A lot falls on the Jets organization regarding Robertson busting...

Jonathan Sullivan is one of the worst draft picks ever. No contest. Plus he was a total Dbag

Sullivan made more of a name for himself in NOLA for crashing the pressbox and stuffing his face before games.

Terrell Suggs and Troy Polamalu were still on the board when the Saints took Sullivan
