Bone bruises on the top side of joints in the knee are a recipe for injuring a different part of his body.

I hope he's truly pain free.

Returning Sunday fits the timeline of his return.

And how so? The Steelers offense wrecked the Bengals defense in both games last year and only slowed down when Reggie Nelson ended Bells season.

His injury today was a freak accident. Smith landed right on top of his achilles/ankle.
