It needs to be reminded that Tulane has killed more conferences than Texas...

What's the only affiliation Tulane's AD has had with a conference that no longer exists?

The Metro? The Metro didn't die, and Tulane certainly didn't kill it, because it merged with its ill-fated offshoot, the Great Midwest, to form Conference USA, which it was a member of until joining the American.

Was it part of the Southern Conference before the founding of the SEC? Because uhh...that's still around too.

Anyway, those are all the facts.

Everything else is a story concocted by the administrations of Nebraska and Aggy to provide political cover for them to slink out the back door on the rest of the conference.

Many, many mouthbreathers bought it hook, line and sinker, hence seeing the false line about "Texas destroyed the Southwest and Big 12 conferences," which is not true.
ahhahahahhaha

How did I know you would he in here spouting your shite. A&M had no problem with the LHN and Loftin himself said that A&M was exploring one of itself. The problem was how Texas was trying to do shady shite with it like putting more football games on it than previously agreed and trying to put high school games on it.

But you're probably right. Literally everything is everyone else's fault and propoganda. Texas is fricking innocent and deserves absolutely, undeniable, zero blame whatsoever with multiple founding members of the big 12 leaving

Loftin's a cuck puppet who showed his arse at Missouri.

He's been fired at both A&M and Missouri.

Don't you think you should trot someone out who is more trustworthy than that?

Loftin's been discredited and shamed, but aggy still holds on dearly to their perception of him. Much like Jackie Sherrill, whose antics nearly got the school the death penalty.

Upsetting folks like you nearly 30 years after he coached a game at A&M is why Jackie will always be The Kang

Check back in late November on your "upset factor" after another drilling at the hands of LSU and your fourth-consecutive 4-4 conference record.

Exactly. No one in the Big 12 (or from any major conference for that matter) wanted to play Texas on a channel designed exclusively for Texas fans that had no subscribers. And conference rivals especially did not want high school games being shown on a university network. And your conference brethren knew that UT had the B12 held hostage and it was only going to get worse over time.

UT outsmarted themselves and thought they could do whatever they wanted and the rest of the B12 would have to deal with it. Instead the rest of the conference left or tried to leave and now Texas will have awesome conference games against teams like Cincinnati, CSU, WVU, TCU, BYU, and Memphis. How does being in the new CUSA feel?

Is that why UT brought the proposal before the Big 12, and after discussion, voted for a one-year moratorium?

You are either ignoring facts or just making shite up.

quote:

Big 12 Conference athletic directors unanimously agreed Monday to establish a minimum one-year moratorium on the broadcast of any high school content or any content involving prospective student-athletes via any medium branded as a platform of the Big 12 or any of its member institutions.

Yes I am aware that UT eventually backed down on the high school games part. But it was the fact that you tried to do it in the first place that pissed off so many already pissed off AD's and presidents.

I personally don't feel that WVU should lumped in with these schools. We have never been a mid major in football or basketball, have a passionate fan base, and a 60,000 seat stadium that is usually full. Over 700 wins, 3 BCS bowls, 2 NC game appearances, etc.

I'm hoping the ACC or SEC throws us a lifeline some day, but I'm not hopeful. SEC should have taken us over Mizzou.

WVU is actually a quality program. The problem is you are 1,400 miles from Austin. There is not a single B12 school whose fans can road trip to WVU. And even if they fly they have to drive over an hour from Pittsburgh. You guys belong in the ACC. I think you would actually do well in the ACC considering that you would be one of the only schools in that conference who actually care about football. Sorry but you don't belong in the SEC. I feel bad for you guys. I really do.
