It was just shown on CBS they have found official written documentation that the Big 12 said the tiebreaker for two tied teams is head to head. Did they think this wouldn't come out?

Er... that tiebreaker is for the Sugar Bowl representative. Not the conference champion or the playoff representative.

This doesn't change that the Big XII (inexplicably) declares co-champions.

This is no different than a divisional winner. If two teams tie, they are both division champs, the tiebreaker determines who goes to the CG.

This has been well known.

Right when the conference said that they would be co-champs, people brought this up.

The Big 12 responded by saying that tie-breaker comes into play for bowl tie-ins when the conference themselves has to send a team to a bowl game.

The committee is hand-picking one of their teams, in this case. So, the conference doesn't feel the need to declare one a champion over the other.

Both teams are conference champions. That's a fact.

Here is where we would standing using the BCS minus the Harris which isn't around anymore.

Baylor's computer ranking is horrible.

Average Computer Ranking (score)
Alabama .970
FSU .960
Oregon .910
TCU .870
Ohio St .830
Baylor .750

Coaches Poll (score)
Alabama .9722
FSU .9606
Oregon .9406
TCU .8838
Baylor .8387
Ohio St .8187

Since the Harris Poll doesn't exist anymore, I'll just average the Coaches and CPU scores:

Alabama .9711
FSU .9603
Oregon .9253
TCU .8691
Ohio St. .8243
Baylor .7943

Other than the actual ranks of the top 4, it's the same.

Alabama vs TCU
FSU vs Oregon

Why did we need this new committee crap when the results are almost identical?

The BCS rankings are better than the committee's with Alabama and FSU at 1 & 2 and TCU at 4.

The Big 12 needs a championship game to solve all of these issues.

Rules state you need at least 12 teams.

They chose not to add enough teams to get back to 12 when the exodus happened a while back.

They need to add two teams.

Houston, Memphis, or Cincinnati.

There ya go. Now have a championship game.
