A bettor at a William Hill sportsbook in Nevada needs the New England Patriots to cover the 7-point spread tonight against the Baltimore Ravens to complete a 15-leg parlay and turn their $5 bet into a $100,000 payday.

How much would you hedge on that and where would you get that type of capital that quickly?

Update: According to website he lost due to the push. NFL is rigged!

One word. Hedge.

Who cares if they do it? Too much money to risk. Walk away with 50K and no stomach ulcers.

Wouldn't you have to front the 50k though to make that hedge?

Yeah

He didn't have 50k to hedge.

Neither would any of us

I hope he had to hedge Baltimore at +6 and the Patriots win by exactly 6.

Yes, I'm a terrible person.

Yes. You would have to front the money. Anything you could afford to put down on baltimore you do it. I would have been at the bank today to take out a loan for as much as they could give me. Either way you will have more money than you had before.

I wonder if he would be able to get a marker and use it to hedge?

Or potentially the sports book/casino management could figure out a payout for surrendering the ticket that would function in lieu of a hedge

I dont know but I sure hope he wins it. Every week someone is hitting a lotto parlay ticket at Will Hill. No doubt he will gamble it all back.

This, simply offer to surrender the tickets for $50k . Walk away happy.

Doubt you could get it for $50k considering it would cost you $55k to hedge. Perhaps something like $47.5k would be negotiable.

Cash out is pretty popular online with WH and even if it was in store I'm sure they would snap his hand off, they would probably only offer around 35k though

Edit 16-0 probably looking at a 75k cash out but let that baby ride

What makes you think he will gamble it all back? A 5 dollar lotto parlay just sounds like someone just having fun on vacation than a degenerate play.

The few times I'm in a city with a casino I'll throw down a crazy low stake parlay or pick like a 50/1 dog to win a title
