That's a really lazy way of looking at it.

In LSU's 4 losses, Aranda's defense gave up a total of 3 TD's.

Best TE Coach in the country - Bama's TE coach

Best Oline coach in the country - Bama's Oline coach

Best LB coach in the country - Bama's LB coach

Some real insight you're providing here.

In all fairness they didn't exactly play great offenses

Bud Foster is pretty damn good too.

Of those two I like Venable

Didn't Clemson give up four touchdowns to Lamar and 'frightening' Louisville offense in what was a 7-point, 42-36 win?

ETA: Bama scored 30+ in every game this year aside from their contests against LSU and Washington.

Wouldn't exactly call them a pushover offensively.

Louisville offense sputtered bad down the stretch and that was obvious to anybody who watched them play.

It's pretty much a toss up. Aranda ahead of Venables by 2 spots in scoring defense and behind by 2 spots in total defense.

Common opponents, Venable better against Auburn, significantly worse against Louisville. We'll see how they do against little Nicky's team. I suspect they'll allow more points but I hope Clemson wins.

Clemson's 2 TFLs from leading the nation for the fourth straight year..not too shabby for scout team quarterback Jimmy Greenbeans.

And he's got some hardware for his troubles
