It was real good but NO....... Vince was a BEAST.... And so was J Rich.. Now if you mean by close??? OK... The 5 best Dunk winners ever were Wilkins, MJ, Webb< Carter, And Jrich....

Without a doubt.

Not only were they incredible dunks, they were all done on the first try. That was pure entertainment,

I agree. Best EVER imho. Both dudes deserved to win and both did dunks that had never been attempted in this contest. Scary good and very entertaining. Gordon did have the best 2 dunks though.

A decade is one thing...decades is another.... Go back and watch the contests from like 1986 to 1990... Unreal dunks without all the props...

I love me some MJ but he barely made the FT line dunk and Lavine just did an alley oop, a windmill, and a between the legs from 14-14.5 out. Yall are biased. Gordon's arse was a full foot above the damn mascot. Those two put on a show. In fact, I'd argue they're both undervalued now because they had someone holding serve instead of running away with it.

Gordon should've won, but not hating on Levine. Love the TNT guys, but tonight they were insufferable. Especially when they wouldn't shut up when Levine and Klay were receiving the awards and interviewing

But I think the interviews was for in house. I don't think it was connected to the network. They didn't even has a sideline reporter like in previous years. Still, those guys can do no wrong in my book. They were on fire since 5:00 with that Talent Challenge

If we can't agree that was the Greatest Dunk Contest, can we agree that was the greatest overall Saturday Night of all time? Every event had amazing finishes (Just take out whatever that halftime performance was)

Nate Robinson almost single-handedly killed the dunk contest for a few years there.
