He actually hit the 12-15 foot jumper with some consistency last season. His shot isn't busted, it just needs work. I think he'll become a 34-38% 3 point shooter one day.

Lolz at people thinking a 19 year old kid won't improve his jump shot. He has a very good stroke, his lower body was just always funky. He obviously has already improved.

Slow down hoss. You do know what Magic did while at Michigan State and his first year in the NBA.

the no look pass around the .57 sec mark. was really nice.

76ers should just let him play point.

If he waste time trying to extend his range to the 3 point line he'll probably never be great

So ... he's going to invent a time machine.

Then, he'll go back in time and not only make the NCAA tourney ... he'll win it and be the Most Outstanding Player of the Final 4.

Then, back to the present ... he'll lead the 76ers to 60+ wins ... to the NBA Finals ... start at center in a Game 6 and put up these numbers: 42 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals.... and then be named the Finals MVP.

Yeah ... I'm not seeing it. This kid is no Magic and never will be even close....only maybe for a night here and there ... during the regular season.

I think it's unfair to compare Magic and the 3 nba draftees from his Michigan State team to Simmons and the shitshow at LSU. MSU made the Elite 8 his freshman year, with 4 nba players. They won it his sophmore year.

He also got drafted by a team that had one of the best players to ever play the game, and a team that was coming off a playoff run that ended in the conference semis the year before. Not exactly the Sixers of present, so another unfair comparison.

Game 7 of the finals his rookie year is probably the greatest individual performance ever though.

In final, i do not think Ben Simmons will be as good as Magic Johnson, but Magic was put in situations to succeed his whole life, and his superior talent was able to show from the start. You can't deny that they do have very similar skill sets. Difference is Ben is much more athletic, while Magic was much smarter and had the "it" factor for winning, something i don't think Ben has.

If Ben Simmons is able to get this Sixers team to the playoffs in the next 3-4 years, i'd say that is success for the team and situation he's in.

Ben looks great, but it's summer league. He should dominate with ease.

I know, but it was really just seeing how smooth his passing was.
