Beer Mile World Championships-Full Video

Corey Gallagher came into the field with the fastest time, and maintained that ranking as he won the first ever Beer Mile World Championships in 5:00.23. The race was moved to the Formula One track in Austin as there were concerns drinking beer on a school track would be frowned upon by the PC Police.

Why do they drink bottles of beer? How do you know who finishes the whole thing? It's easy to fudge that.
They should drink out of clear cups.

Not sure. I know the official rules say 12 oz cans or bottles have to be used. But a local austin brewery produced a special beer for this race so maybe they don't have canning capabilities.

You can use bottles.
Your supposed to flip the can/bottle after to confirm its empty.
