Am I starting this now just so it can be run by a Mavs fan and not a Rockets one... maybe

But on a serious note best of luck Rockets fans. It hopefully should be a great series and I think Harden will be fantastic. Hopefully for me, he's just not good enough.

This is the Rockets year for a decent run.

ETA: I'll add what I posted in the other Rockets- Mavs prediction thread

IF Rockets play like they should, they'll win in 5.

If they choke like they have been prone to before I could easily see it going 7, and at that point it's really a coin flip....with both sides of that coin having the Rockets!

tBeard is going to put the world on notice that he is the true King James.

El Beardo going in dryo

It's a Texas showdown.

I want to know if Capella has completely replaced Dorsey In the rockets rotation. That is quite the talent infusion if so.

I think it will either be a 6 or 7 game series regardless of who wins.

I like the Mavs chances and I trust Carlisle to give them the best chance to win, but I just don't know that they're good enough to win 4.

Rockets are a much deeper team, particularly with their injuries. (Dallas)

Rox in 6.

Eh, that's certainly debatable. If Parsons isn't at least close to full strength by game two, it will be a problem.

Otherwise, a second string consisting of Harris, Aminu, Stoudemire is pretty good.

I think Carlisle is definitely an advantage over McHale, but that might be where our advantages end unfortunately. If Parsons is healthy I could see this going 6 or 7, but I really feel like Harden and Howard think they have something to prove and could just go off.

Harden and Howard have tons to prove. And Ariza, Brewer, Terry, and Smith are all guys with real playoff experience. Dwight Howard led the Magic to a series win over a 62-win LeBron team before, and he looks fricking great right now after sitting out and rehabbing his knees. I am really excited for tomorrow. I will be at Game 3 in American Airlines. Should be a huge game no matter what happens in these first two.

I think PeeJ picked the Rockets in 5 in the other thread. His predictions lose their powers when they get sloppy. I'm not worried.
