Basketball stat scoring question

How is it scored when a player is fouled on the shot? I say that if the shot goes in, it counts as an attempt and a make. And if he misses, it is not even counted as an attempt.

I always thought that they should count it as an assist if the guy makes both FTs off a pass leading to a foul.

shooting foul after a pass should be credited with 0.5 assist
