High school summer league game. Coach puts in a "little person," about three feet tall as a pinch hitter to lead off the inning. Like the guy on Game of Thrones. Pitcher can't hit the strike zone, he draws a walk on five pitches, at which point the coach puts in a pinch runner for him.

I mean, I'm glad the kid got to play, and it was a meaningless game, but it was an automatic base on balls. Would it have been okay in a district game or in the playoffs?

Not Bush League at all. Don't like it, throw strikes. It's high school. If you can't throw 3 strikes when someone isn't a threat to swing, you shouldn't be on the team.

yes it's bush league. Had they kept the little guy in the game, it would have been fine.

Hit him on purpose with the first pitch and teach the coach a lesson if he has a soul

Pump the brakes man. It's a high schooler throwing at a 12"x17" box. Most high schoolers aren't exactly dotting it up like Greg Maddux.

I would have thrown at the imp. My father taught me in Little League that if they're going to try to pull one over on you and not try to hit it, at least make them remember it.

3 out of 6 = K and not a walk. You don't have to be Maddux.

Its summer league, who gives a shite? And its high school. I thought summer leagues were for scouts, and it didn't matter who wins or loses?
