How far is Eugene from Seattle?
About 5 hours

Don't they have an awesome track and field venue?
For college standards, yeah. For Olympic standards, no.

That actually had an Olympic event at Legion freaking Field? WTF that is embarrassing.
As crappy as Legion Field has become over the years, the facility and city fared nicely during the Olympic soccer matches. The USA vs. Argentina game set a Legion Field stadium record and a couple of the U.S. Olympic soccer team members raved about the incredible atmosphere. For some goofy reason they didn't televise any of the qualifying matches. I know someone who went to that USA vs Argentina match and they said it was the loudest they've ever heard the stadium when the U.S. team scored the opening goal only about 90 seconds into the game.

Recently, Legion Field had been used successfully as a site for major soccer events, including preliminary matchups in the 1996 Summer Olympics – the opening match between the United States and Argentina drew 83,810 spectators, the stadium's all-time record for any event. All of the concluding-round soccer games moved to Athens, Georgia after preliminary games had been played in various other cities.
Legion Field had also hosted exhibition games by the U.S. men's and women's national soccer teams, and in 2005 it hosted a World Cup qualifier between the U.S. and Guatemala.
