Pitcher from the Padres is dealing tonight too. This one may not be pretty

I was hoping this start would be different after some extra rest. Nope

Seeing that stat that was just put up makes me wish the Braves would go for a bona fide number 1 power pitcher. They just don't have a proven guy with overpowering stuff that can go out and dominate. I know we have a lot of young guys down on the farm but a Chris Sale would've been phenomenal for this team. The offense has done more than enough to be competitive. Not saying they'd be a playoff team but with this offense they're not far away.

Do you want the Braves front office to give up a lot of important pieces of the future to acquire a big time starter so they could be a wild card team right now? Look at what Boston gave up for Sale. Would be a disaster to ATL's rebuild when they clearly look like they're only ~2 years away
I know nobody cares what some random guy from Texas thinks, but this season for y'all reminds me a lot of the Astros' 2014 season. Hang tight and continue to stock the system so you can make the big trades when y'all are ready to make a run IMO

Yeah obviously I don't want to drain our entire farm system for Sale, but they're going to need a proven #1 power guy. I was just using him as an example. I guess thats why were still linked to Archer, Quintana, and Gray. Teheran is a solid #2 at best. The way Sun Trust is, we need a guy that can just mow people down. I really have enjoyed watching this year because they're way more competitive than I thought. Even with shitbags like Colon going out every outing and getting rocked.

Never wanna see Bartolo throw another pitch.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. I'd still say hold tight until 2019ish to make a big move like that. You'll know which guys currently in your system you want to keep for the next decade and which ones you can live with trading (although I know y'all prob have an idea of that already)
A deal made right now would just stall the rebuild and it wouldn't put you over the Nats in the division
