It looks like Jason Bourgeois and Humberto Quintero have been traded. No official word on where to or for what.

zacharylevine: Astros close clubhouse. Nothing confirmed but it sounds like Jason Bourgeois transaction in works. Healthy scratch. Mills wouldn't discuss.

brianmctaggart: The media is still being kept out of Astros clubhouse after game. Possible trade.

zacharylevine: Humberto Quintero saying goodbyes.

CampbellChron: Jason Bourgeois and Humberto Quintero shaking hands and saying goodbyes to teammates. Both say they don't know where they've been traded.

brianmctaggart: Astros GM Jeff Luhnow declines comment, says he'll talk later

That's what I figured at first but I knew the Nats were looking at JB and Q

I'm fine with Q hitting the road.

But I don't really get the Bourgeois move. Especially with Schafer's injury probablity and Shuck's lack of time spent with the big club.

Hopefully we're getting some relief pitching in this deal.

I wonder if the Brett Myers experiment at Closer isn't working out...

Maybe we're trying to get a closer out of the deal.

I'd sacrifice JB and HQ for that.

The Royals announced that they have acquired outfielder Jason Bourgeois and catcher Humberto Quintero from the Astros for minor league left-hander Kevin Chapman and a player to be named later.

In Luhnow I trust

Chapman, 24, was 4th-rd pick in '10 Draft out of University of Florida. One of top strikeout pitchers in Texas League in '11. ...

LHP Kevin Chapman was a fourth-round pick in 2010 who has fanned 110 batters in 80 professional innings. Pitched A and AA last season.

In 25 relief appearances, 50 strikeouts over 39 2/3 IP.

JB actually was pretty good. Over 30 SB in just over 90 games but with Schafer on board, he is expendable.
