Article about NFL Margin of Victory over weak opponnents

I remember reading an article last year about how Superbowl teams typically performed against weaker opponents. Basically the article said that there was more of a correlation between beating bad teams by alot than beating the really tough teams in reg season in predicting super bowl teams. It may have been an advanced nfl stats article.

Google was no help. Anyone remember this article?

I referred to it last week in some thread, but didn't link it.

that's probably it. I'd really like to see that article updated with '05-'12 numbers included. 17 years would be alot better sample size than 10 since no single team could skew results over a 17 year period.

I was having a conversation with people about the Saints game last night and really wanted to be able to link this.
