He started the TV era. Arnie, Jack and Tiger popularized golf like no one else.

Wow - didn't know until I saw this thread.

I'm not the biggest golf fan, but Arnold Palmer was an American icon.

Not as big, but a former MSU player and current CFL player was also shot and killed last night. Rough day all around.

They don't make them like Arnold Palmer anymore. Rest in peace to a legend and a gentlemen. Very sad day in sports.
