What a damn dirt bag.

If he was going hungry, it was his own damn fault. Players get room/board. I wonder if he bought a diamond or diamonds to wear in his ear? Did he have any fancy tattoos? What kind of car did he drive?

If he wasted the money the school gave him for room/board or was living beyond the means that was provided him, that's on him.

And he wants to talk about it NOW? What a damn coward.

Do I think the players should get pd? Hell yes, look at how much money the school and NCAA are making off of them.

The only players that have a theoretical complaint about being "used" are the top of the line, all-american level players. Those are the ones the program promotes as the "face" of the program (and they tend to be the most productive on the field).

But you know who else gets "used"? The school. And the top of the line, all-american level players use them.

How much money are you going to make in the NFL if you are one of these top athletes and you come out of an LSU or Alabama or Southern Cal or Ohio State or Georgia or Florida etc. etc. etc.?

How much are you going to make if you come out of New Mexico State or Bowling Green?

Yeah... that's what I thought.

Good article with David Cutcliff talking about the Arian Foster thing. LINK

“That may have been as weak of interview as I’ve heard,” Cutcliffe said of the Foster interview. “Arian never looked hungry.”

Cutcliffe was then asked if a scholarship pay for food and rent.

“Yes, it pays for food and rent,” he said. “On gameday, when you go back to your dorm, you usually got $15 in meal money, and you could buy, I don’t know, 10 tacos maybe.

“As long as there’s the amount of media we have and the opportunity, you’re going to I guess see protests or whatever. As long as I’ve been around it, and it’s a long time, longer than sometimes than I even think, athletes have been treated pretty well. I don’t see anybody getting abused. I don’t drive a brand-new Lexus, I drive a nice car because I choose to. I heard that, I don’t know what that had to do with the price of tea anywhere.
