Are you interested in the Pan Am Games?

I used to love watching them and the annual USOF. But for some reason they seemed to just disappear.
I hope they actually put money into this event (Pan Am Games) and it flourishes again.

The only thing I ever remember from the Pan Am Games was Oscar Schmidt's beast mode game to beat the US in basketball in the 1980's.

i watched the soccer a few years ago. mexico sent a pretty strong team.

This just seems like a weaker Summer Olympics, and I'm not a big fan of that to begin with. Winter sports are much better.

It's for the Western Hemisphere and the US had balked at it for last few times. But they may start using it like the USOF

Kind of. I would probably only watch swimming anyway but most of our best swimmers are skipping to go to World Champs in a few weeks
