Apparently it didn't go too well for the NFL today with Deflategate.

More tweets.
I don't know how to post twitter remarks, but apparently the meeting didn't go so hot for the NFL. Berman torched Nash, the outside counsel the NFL used, used air quotes when saying "independent" in regards to the Wells report, and even commented on apparently it not being a huge advantage when the Patriots scored even more in the second half.
Kessler did admit Brady could have handled the investigation better, and if the NFL/Brady settle, that will probably be the reason.

Admit it, this twitter report gave you a half chub

He poked at the holes in both sides of their argument. He's pressing really hard for a settlement. Interesting to see if this weakens the NFLs stance for needing Brady to admit and accept the wells report for any settlement to happen
Kessler was apparently all jacked up on Moutain dew

I just want this shite to be over honestly. Brady and the NFL settle for a 50k fine for not being the most cooperative guy in the world, and everyone gets on with their lives. Apparently the judge was PISSED about Goodell's statements in Canton.

Looks like Les made an appearance in the courtroom today

I will try to show the other side on this while you are too busy sucking off Brady

To my ear, judge seemed to go harder on NFL. but he cautioned us not to read anything into his line of questions. more discussion to come.

The judge also drilled Brady's attorney, demanding to know why he was unwilling to share the contents of his cell phone with investigators.

The Judge should question the ball boys directly while they are under oath.

For those who fail to see/understand what a sham and travesty the NFL's allegations are regarding this matter, I only have this to say:
SORE LOSER
SORE LOSER

So basically there is no news here?

I am sure he beat up both sides' cases. That's what any judge or mediator when trying to coax a settlement - get the parties closer to a middle ground, not further. That's how these things work.

Good - Goodell needs to be humiliated again. Cannot wait to hear the legend Bill Simmons gloating via Twitter

I'm quite curious about Tom Brady's personal issue with a pool cover as referenced in this paragraph:
So Brady wasn't entirely clear either.
I'm guessing the settlement will entail that Tom Brady doesn't admit any culpability and has his suspension reduced to 1 game with no fine with a half-arse apology (that'll include a shot at the NFL).
The NFL gets its precedent that willful negligence in not cooperating fully is bad while Brady misses only 1 game due to his "mistake" and doesn't have to pay any money (on top of his lost game check).
quote:
Kessler said that Brady did not cooperate fully with the Wells investigation on the advice of agent Don Yee out of privacy concerns, citing emails about “personal issues about a pool cover” becoming public as the type of thing he wanted to avoid. Kessler did concede that Brady should have “conducted himself differently” with Wells, although he also added that Wells didn’t establish the “expectation of punishment” for failing to offer all cooperation that they asked for from Brady.
So Brady wasn't entirely clear either.
