When I was in grade school, my Dad would keep us home from school and take us to the White Sox home openers. Cold as hell and they were not very good in the 70s.

If the Yankees were opening in Houston I would take off work and go. Maybe one day I will make an opening day in NY vs going to a mid-summer game.

I think the Reds always open at home because they were one of the original teams - I could be wrong on this

Opening day is a big deal in Cincinnati. A lot of people take off work, skip school, etc. It's tradition.

Braves opening day. I get to watch Scherzer throw the first no hitter of 2016.

Also, I think it is bullshite that Cincinnati is not the league's Opening Day game.

I'll be there as well hopefully can get to the game this year. I've passed out in blue lot last 3 years. We'll be setting up a big tailgate at 1030 under the trees. Come by

Going to Turner as well. Haven't been to opening day in 10+years. What time does it start getting packed?

I'm taking my 29 and 21 year old sons to Turner Field for the Braves and Nationals! We have gone to the Braves opening day for the past several years.

Usually around 2 hours before the game. So 2 it should start getting real busy. We're grilling some wings, brats and burgers. Shoulda got a keg instead we have 8 30 racks and a couple bottles of liquor. Corn hole. Flip cup. Beer pong. Couple speakers. Should be a good time.
