Anyone ever wonder how these poor college athletes can afford full sleeve tats?

Some of them are pretty high quality, and if they can't eat, are they setting their priorities correctly?

A lot of them are not poor haha Odell Beckham isn't poor and I'm sure there are a lot of them that have parents sending them money.

Of course, that's my NCAA answer.

No. If you think these kids don't get paid in one way or another, then I don't know what else to tell you.

What? Having a couple hundred dollars saved up to treat yourself to a gift means that they are not living incredibly modestly compared to the amount of value they provide. Good grief, people are jealous of others who are better athletes than them.

Pretty much. Might as well be free advertising for them when they say "I tatted up ______ who plays for ______". There's a couple shops here that the UofL guys frequent. I'm sure that's the same for a lot of players.

They get paid once a semester through their federal pell grant. It's really easy to get one and it pays 1-2k each semester. Lots of that goes straight to tatoos, iPads, and headphones.

Seriously, how many of your peers who you went to college with didn't have a lot of cash at all times and were what you would describe a "poor college kid" who could use a job? How many of those had received a gift from their parents or bought something for themselves at some point in their life that cost as much and was as non-essential as a tattoo?

Having bought a $300 luxury item at one point in your life doesn't mean that you are being sufficiently compensated. A little bit confused as to why you think it does. A lot of people are of the belief that somebody putting in 30+ hours of work per week in addition to being a full-time student while being an extremely valuable contributor to a lucrative enterprise should be able to afford a tattoo and not have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.

Having $300 luxury items removes you from the poor status. None of them worry about food ever. They get fed all the time and even get meal stipends. No one said they are rich but it's hard to claim poor if they have luxury items. No one in college is really rich anyway unless they have family money.
