Anyone else VERY disappointed in "The Ringer"?

Not just from a sports perspective, but all around.
It feels like 60-70% of the articles are about politics (and very one-sided) or SJW issues. They're forcing the SJW thing into totally non-political articles.
For example (I'm embarrassed to admit my interest), but the "Pardon My Take" guys kept posting about Taylor Swift on Twitter. The Ringer posted something about her soon after, so I checked it out to see what was going on. It didn't explain, but I scrolled down to Simmons's take since I typically enjoy his writing. His "take" including bitching about how she only dated white guys. How many black/hispanic women has Bill Simmons dated?
The top 3 articles right now are a story about Tamir Rice's mom, an article promoting liberal protesters at the RNC, and a story basically calling Trump Hitler. I've got no problem ragging on Trump as I've come to dislike the Republican party ALMOST as much as I dislike the Democratic party, but you know that they're not going to be ragging on Hillary. And, on top of that, politics is taking over every medium. I'm happy that Simmons is free of the clutches of ESPN, but it was nice being able to read Grantland without this bullshite infecting a majority of the articles. I think that a lot of people read sports/entertainment stuff to get away from that.
It's tough to gauge the sports side since they went online towards the end of the NBA season, so between the NBA and NFL, there's only about 2-6 teams to talk about. Simmons paid enough attention to the NBA draft and FA, but not a ton going on article wise. They desperately miss Lowe for deep NBA stuff.

I think Deadspin called out Simmons for all of a sudden becoming a feminist and youth sport advocate now that he has a daughter. While still throwing out some sexist comments. He's trying really hard to have social opinions and comes off disingenuous IMO.
And the podcasts mostly suck, that's my only real complaint, I can ignore the stuff I'm not interested in.

Agreed. The basketball one sucks and idk what they're even talking about on 'the watch'. The football pod is pretty good with the NFL position rankings.

I'm still a fan. I'm sure he's overwhelmed with getting the show off the ground and that affects everything.

I haven't been listening to the podcasts that much. Bill + House on NBA have been solid. Mays has been doing top 10 NFL positional players, which doesn't really interest me. I think he'll be alright when the season starts up. I did think that him and Barnwell (who was a huge bitch, but fairly knowledgeable) were a solid team and was disappointed that they divorced.
What has Simmons said that was sexist? Deadspin is even more SJWish than Simmons, so I'm skeptical.

For me, it's not that the podcast suck, it's just the fact that every day my podcast app gets bombarded with podcast that I have 0 clue what they are about. You subscribe to his main one where he does his and you'd get 5 other different pods from people that you've never heard of. Only other person I recognize is Juliet and the Hollywood Perspectus guys.

The podcasts have been extremely disappointing. The NBA one is meh, the MLB one is bad, the NFL one is kind of boring but I think will get better once the season starts, the BS pod is very hit or miss, and all the other pods I don't care to listen to.
