You got hosed if you paid 2+ million on field turf. WM was the first high school in LA to get turf and it was a fraction of that cost.

just to make sure i understand you:

- good cement for your vehicles,
- the most expensive fake grass money can buy,
- a building that is located adjacent to the stadium, and
- comfortable facilities for the volunteer ticket takers.

Man, that place sounds awesome

Oh, and it's located in Westlake, LA. So it could be Reliant Stadium and I'm not sure it would be considered on par with the top stadium's in the state.

Then again, every school isn't WM.

Good Lord, WM has an entire message board for itself?

What's crazy is I saw that post and didn't even bat an eye. It would take something very over-the-top from that program for me to be shocked.

I mean, NOLA.com has a prep football forum that I used to troll on when I was in HS, but that wasn't team-specific. You're right, I should have expected it from WM

To their credit, NOLA.com has done a better job covering recruiting this year than ever. Although, there's no reason for the website not to be improved with the print version cut back to 3 days per week.

Barbe has a great chance in a shoot out
If WM controls the clock and grinds barbe's undersized defense will give out

STM beat them because they ran for 210 yards and smith was playing hurt. Smith can literally run 12 yards down the field and catch balls every play if they wanted to do that. Against STM he was hobbled with a bad ankle and was pretty ineffective.

WM has a tendency to turn the ball over in bunches so barbe could make it a shoutout. In that type of game the advantage goes to barbe

Had no idea he played for Barbe. He helped with the DBs when I was at LSU.

Barbe barely throws to him so this definitely won't happen. And if Westlake spent $2+M on turf I need to start selling things to Westlake High!

Question about high school stadiums honestly westlake has a top 5 stadium in the state not barbe but yes it will be at barbe just went and bought two tickets there asking fans to wear white so that it can be a white out and people acting like barbe didn't have a tough schedule ; Lagrange, Washington Marion " with healthy Melvin Jones" , evangel, St Thomas more, acadiana, carencro and Byrd and parkway 8/13 ain't to bad a schedule if you ask me

Besides turf -- which I hate. There's a reason why nobody in the SEC aside from Big 12 retread Missouri has it -- what does Westlake have that Barbe doesn't in its stadium? And Barbe seats more. I would guess it's close to LaGrange's seating and Sulphur's seating.

LaGrange's stadium is quite large for a Louisiana high school because it dates back to the days when LaGrange WAS Barbe...the white flight school with 2,000 students circa 1970 or so.

so what was the actual price of the turf then since obviously I'm wrong? Yea I've been noticing desean limping at some point in every game this year since evangel. Well IMO westlakes fieldhouse is head an shoulders above barbes. Really not here to talk about stadiums to much barbe showed great support for westlake during there state championship run in 07 just here to return the favor a little bit.

I was just wondering if there was a feature to Westlake's stadium -- like a fancy scoreboard with a videoboard or something -- that I didn't know about.

Not sure how much the turf cost Westlake at all. I do know it's worth it buy the high-end turf. The turfs at Southeastern, Nicholls and probably McNeese are all kind of crappy, if you ask me. They look cheap.

But I don't know if you need to be spending $2 million on them.

Nothing really special about scoreboard but the field house is amazing two stories huge varsity locker room down stairs also, freshman locker room, training room, laundry room/ water girls/guys room, very big weight room takes up like half of the building down stairs with two sets of showers an elevator, then upstairs there is a recreation room where kids can relax watch big screen TV , also have agility room running along side coaches office, a kitchen a then a offensive an defensive film room and all overlooking the field
