.250/.333/.435 so far on the year...
Just saw him hit into a double play where he did not even make it half-way down the line because he was jogging/walking almost. Maybe he thought the ball would go foul, maybe he assumed he was out, but it is not like plays I've seen from him in the past.

As he as aged he has become less of a threat on the base paths (33 stolen bases in 2010, 11 last year)his strikeouts have increased as he currently has a 20% strikeout rate when his career average is 17%, and defensively he has slipped.

Is it age? He is only 29 so he should be in the middle of his prime.

Age maybe? He just seem to be as big of a threat as he used to

Some guys peak early (Andruw Jones). Maybe he's one of them.

Last year he struggled in April before getting it going, although his numbers from last year were down compared to previous seasons.

He's always been a second half guy from what I remember but he does look worse. K numbers have risen steadily over the last couple years. Good thing Polanco looks like a star for the Buccos

K% is up, bb% is down, but his LD% seems pretty normal, maybe a little down from past years but not really. So do all of his other batted ball metrics. I would just chalk it up to the first quarter of the season and he will eventually right the ship

Not sure if it was 2012 or 2013 but he was batting .376 all the way into August.

They moved him to the #2 spot in the lineup from his usual #3

I agree some guys peak early(25-29) and most guys peak around(27-32). Either way he should be playing better.
