Who ya got?
For me, it has to be the 1975 Reds vs. Red Sox.
There was enough drama in the series for a decade.
Video Highlights
The box scores don't begin to capture the drama and awe.
1 Cincinnati Reds – 0, Boston Red Sox – 6
2 Cincinnati Reds – 3, Boston Red Sox – 2
3 Boston Red Sox – 5, Cincinnati Reds – 6 (10 innings)
4.Boston Red Sox – 5, Cincinnati Reds – 4
5 Boston Red Sox – 2, Cincinnati Reds – 6 Riverfront Stadium 2:23 56,393[6]
6 Cincinnati Reds – 6, Boston Red Sox – 7 (12 innings) Fenway Park 4:01 35,205[7]
7 Cincinnati Reds – 4, Boston Red Sox – 3 Fenway Park 2:52 35,205[8]

Best one, IMO, is the 1993 World Series. Blue Jays/Phillies

the entire '86 post season was great

Yep. The Angels-Red Sox series, then the Red Sox-Mets in the World Series. I hated the Mets, but that game 6 still gives me tingles.
Edit: The Houston-Mets series was good too.

Game 6 in '11 would rank up there as an all time great game, but the series as a whole didn't really stand out other than Pujols' 3 homers in game 3.

I remember that series. Pulled a muscle jumping up at Fisk's HR. In Kirby Smith

2011 Game 6 is the best baseball game I have watched.

01-04 was an awesome stretch of postseason baseball.
01 WS was a 7 game classic
02 WS was another 7 game classic
03 postseason had the Red Sox and Cubs choking in the LCS then another 7 game classic WS
04 postseason had the famous Red Sox comeback plus a 7 game LCS between STL and Houston
I wasn't around or was too young for the pre strike postseason moments so those are the most iconic postseason baseball memories to me

Think of the number of MVP winners in that series.
Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan won 2 apiece, Carl Yastrzemski, Fred Lynn, Jim Rice, Pete Rose, George Foster. Not sure about Carlton Fisk and Tony Perez.

People always bring up Kurt Gibson's walk off home run as the most dramatic, but some how forget Carlton Fisk. Gibson hit his to win the first game of the series, Fisk hit his walk off in game 6 to force game 7. That was the best world series home run.

It's a shame that postseason ended in a sweep (maybe not to Sox fans). I'm still annoyed that St Louis didn't get home field for that series. Have hated that All Star rule from the beginning.

Dramatic in the sense that Gibson could hardly walk. Fisk's would be considered more clutch, I'd say.

There ya go..........
But for me.. 1975,1982,1968,1972,1991,1979,1960...

Yeah I expected that to be a really good series. That would have been an all time postseason if the WS lived up to expectations. 03 was an all around great postseason but the Marlins have no fans so it gets underrated IMO. Those two LCS and the WS were classics. The Red Sox A's and Cubs Braves series were excellent too

His only AB of the series and they still crushed the Bash Brothers.Plus who he hit it off off is also rather historic... But I agree Fisk became folk hero by sending the series to a 7th game with a 12th inning shot.......

Cardinals really didn't have a chance. Sox were going to break the curse off an emotional comeback AGAINST THE YANKEES, St Louis coming off an emotional series against their division rival, walking off in game 6 and beating the rocket in game 7 were probably drained, whereas the Sox were pumped. Home field, which they earned, would have been a good equalizer.

A few years ago, I did a personal ranking of the best World Series by the numbers and the 1972 World Series came out on top. That World Series featured six one-run games, more than any other World Series. The curious thing is that World Series is never talked about even though it was the closest World Series ever and featured two teams that went on to become dynasties (Big Red Machine and 1972-1974 A's). I don't know why that is.
