I wonder why the ice is way off to one side of Bridgestone Arena like that? That is a very unique seating arrangement there. I had no idea of the setup there.

The arena was built with concert acoustics in mind.

I think more tickets will be available to the public both today and Friday, so I expect prices to fall a little bit.

The trap results in such brutal hockey that it almost makes me want to root for the Penguins...

Almost.

If this series was a horse, someone would have shot it in the head.

From the Pittsburgh Gazette this morning:

quote:

The Penguins did everything they needed to do Tuesday night against Ottawa to advance to the Stanley Cup final — except actually win the game.

They fired 46 shots on the Senators, they had fewer giveaways and they dominated faceoffs. They were the better team Tuesday in the 2-1 Game 6 loss and they clearly are the better team overall.

The Penguins ran into a hot goaltender in Craig Anderson and thus lost a game they should have won.

Yeah, what a tragedy.

Really want Ottawa to win this series.

In overtime, with a few nagging injuries occurring. Penguins are just too strong for us to beat I think.

100-200 per game. The STH presale sold out today in about 30-45 minutes. Their price was $389 for uppers and $589 for lowers.

My buddy has a friend that is a long time season ticket holder and they are tying(maybe they got them) to get us two tickets for the whole series. They would only pay like $90 a ticket, and all they have asked for is $100 a ticket for all 3 games and a bottle of Jack.

CMS just said it's likely Hornqvist and Schultz return for Game 7.

this is going to sound like a hot take, but, I think the Preds match up better vs the Pens, than the Sens.

1) PK Subban is having a conn smythe worthy playoffs. He has held toews, tarasenko, and kesler to 3 goals total. He can be tasked with taking Crosby away, which would provide more value to the team than say.. taking Ryan or Stone or MacArthur or Pyatt or any of the other 10 Ottawa forwards who look and play exactly the same.

2) the Sens blue line is superior to the pens blue line. Nashville will have more trouble scoring on karlsson and Methot, than Cole and Shultz

3) the neutral zone trap is frustrating. Ottawa will turn the neutral zone into a mudpit. However, Nashville likes to counter attack out of their own zone with speed a lot, SO they can beat the trap if they don't let Ottawa set up at the red line. this isn't really a point for either side, just an observation

4) Pekka Rinne likes to handle the puck as you may have heard. So if you dump it in vs them , he goes behind the net, plays it around the boards, and begins the counter attack. Which wont work vs OTTAWA because they tend to favor a carry across the blueline with Karlsson trailing

I agree with you. I'd rather play Pittsburgh if I'm a Nashville fan.
