If Akers was watching the flight of the ball and realized he missed it, how would he know when and where to dodge the Raven's player? If Akers hadn't flopped would he have been taken down by the Raven's player? That was a penalty on the Ravens no matter how you want to characterize it. He took a bad angle, and rolled right through the area Akers' follow through took him. The Ravens were lucky Akers avoided serious contact because they would have been penalized for roughing rather than running into the kicker.

He rolled behind him. He was never touched and flopped down. There was never a chance for roughing.
