Again, why is WVU in the Big 12?

I know traveling for all their athletic teams has to be killing that school. The ACC just needs to do it and add them. They are a natural fit even with their tiny state.

Wouldn't be as big of a deal if the Big 12 wasn't incompetent and added Louisville when they had the chance. Idiots.

At the time, everyone in the Big East knew it was only a matter of time until the conference imploded. WVU was absolutely right to go to the Big 12. The ACC and SEC didn't want them. What were they suppose to do? I just thank Maryland everyday they left and we took their spot

It's because your fans had established a reputation of not playing well with others. Oliver Luck has done a great job of cleaning up that issue, though.

For 99% of the fanbase, ACC or SEC was our first choice. Big East was no longer viable. The ACC was never going to invite us because it would tarnish the sterling academic reputations of those bastions of integrity like UNC to even be associated with us, and we have no media markets to speak of to add to the SEC. We had to jump on the first P5 invite we got.
Thus, WVU in the B12.

Not adding Louisville with them was one of the bigger mistakes the Big 12 has made. They would have boosted the football and made it an extremely legit hoops conference
