Speaking for myself... I grew up jumping from Army base to Army base my entire life. When we were outside playing and Taps started playing, we knew to stop playing, stand at attention and and face the direction of the flag.
We knew that when the Anthem played, we gave it our undivided attention. Hell, when we lived overseas, we stood at attention in the movie theater before the previews started playing.
Do I expect every child to know and follow these same acts? No, I do not.
But I sure as shite expect any adult, ESPECIALLY any adult in a capacity to influence children to, at minimum, stand at attention. Protest all you want before or after. Hell, I will join you because I do agree there is validity in your message. Just don't do it DURING.

Brown County, the home of the city of Green Bay, voted for Trump by a 53-42 margin, +11 points.
I can guarantee you Packers fans voted by Trump by an even much greater margin, wouldn't be surprised if it was +30.

I'm not sure I get your point here. He is not asking them to kneel, is he? He's just asking them to lock arms as Americans in unity. Isn't that the whole point of the anthem anyway?
