"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

I understand CK because he has a huge platform.

But Little League, Youth League, Who Gives a crap league?

It seems they had to cancel the season to make their protest newsworthy. This is South Park-esque.

Kids quit after the coach pressured them and now they don't have enough players to field a team. Sucks the kids. Perhaps they'll be allowed to join another team.

On another note, I don't recall the anthem being played at any regular season youth sports (before high school) with which I've been involved. Maybe I haven't been paying attention.

What a dick bag that coach is. These kids don't know the first thing about politics and you're gonna ruin their season so you can get some attention and follow the crowd. Congrats man!

Parkerson, the coach, and other parents who facilitated it knew that using their kids would get them a ton of attention in the current climate. It is quite despicable.

However, framing this story as if the team was kicked out of the league for protesting the anthem is a dangerous road to take. Plastering it this way across Fox News just keeps the attention coming, which in turn keeps the protest coming.

Pressuring those kids to kneel is horrible.

I'd bepissed as a parent. Even if you agree with the sentiment, I may not want my son in the middle of ashitstorm. That is just me though.

I've never seen the anthem at a youth soccer game. They don't have scoreboards, bleachers, or a PA system at most placed.

yeah, for real.

we didn't have it during freshman or junior varsity football games during high school.

but I think they might have for baseball but only during all-star games (I didn't make it every year so I don't quite remember).

But they didn't do that for a regular season game at our park for baseball or football.

I mean it really doesn't matter, but I just can't recall it happening during the regular season at that age. All-stars or a tournament championship or something, maybe, but not on your regular Saturdays during the fall.
