I was only 9 years old when the bears won the super bowl but, I most certainly remember watching it in my living room. however, after watching this 30 for 30.........I had no idea that it was more Buddy Ryan's team than Ditka's.

did you guys see it? it may just be the best one I have ever seen so far.

There was a long thread when this premiered. It was very well done and my favorite, but I'm biased.

It wasn't so much Ditkas or Ryan's team, it was offense vs defense. Those personalities are truly larger than life and Chicago still loves them for it.

One of the better 30 for 30s I've seen...pretty awesome buddy writing that letter to his former players

I thought it was average. Same stuff we've seen lots of times before. Most notably, the America's Game episode.

However, that is still the best NFL defense I've seen in my lifetime.

I had no idea how dysfunctional they were. Some of those guys were insane. Dude blamed not repeating on the QB. Said it was his fault for getting hurt. He got picked up from behind and slammed Guys were jealous of each other. Picked sides. Didn't like the head coach. It was weird.

true.....but, after the flutie move, I was beginning to wonder if even the offense trusted ditka back then as well.

Ditka is a clown. He lucked into that team and got one title out of them. He's on par with Barry Switzer.
