I find myself agreeing with you more often than not, and I'd like to apologize for being an arse in the French Open thread. It's hard to find people who can, and want, to discuss tennis beyond the top 5 players and/or GOAT discussions.

I'm on him and Mahut for tomorrow when play resumes. Love Domi, even though he has a one handed backhand.

Remaining Grass Court Schedule:

Monday June 13 - Sunday June 19:
Halle -- ATP 500
Notable Players: Fed, Kei, Thiem, Berdy, Goffy
Notes: Federer owns Halle. He's won it 8 times and has to be considered the favorite to take 9, though I'm sure he's hoping somebody else takes out Thiem before a finals meeting. I think the Halle field is a bit stronger than Queens Club. Also, Halle plays really really fast. The courts are some of the fastest on tour, and play faster than Wimbledon.LINK /
Draw: LINK

Queens Club -- ATP 500
Notable Players: Murray, Stan, Milos, Gassy, Cilic
Notes: Murray won it last year and is certainly the favorite to take it again. The courts at Queens Club play very nearly like the courts at Wimbledon. Andy Roddick said they were the best grass courts in the world.
Draw: LINK

Sunday June 19 - Saturday June 25
Nottingham -- ATP 250
Notable players: KA, SteveO, Fritzy, Pospy, Dolgo
Notes: I believe every major has one of these garbage 250 tournaments crammed right up against it. These aren't tournaments I'd be inclined to bet on. Do the players really wanna make it to the final and be worn out before their first round match at Wimby?
Draw: n/a yet

June 27 - July 10
Wimbledon

Johnson takes down Gasquet in 2 at Queen's. Impressive.

I have to reserve judgement on Kozlov, as I haven't seen him play at all lately. The junior videos on YouTube are pretty useless.

If the only knock on him is size, to me that's not enough to discount him. He's listed at 6'0, 170. Even if that's a bit of an exaggeration, Goffin is only listed at 5'11, 150.

I have met Stefan Kozlov. He is most definitely not 6 feet tall. That aside his game is predicated on mental toughness and excellent form. There is not really an explosive element to any part of his game. It is difficult for me to envision him becoming a top ATP player.

Anyone know off hand why Anderson had to go through qualifying in London? I know he's had injuries, but he's still ranked 20th. Did he miss the cut for putting his name in the draw?

Very good question. I can't think of any other explanation that makes sense.

This caught me by surprise. Good thing I have a standing policy against betting on Frenchmen.

Beats Delpo yesterday, loses 10 (ten) MPs the next day. Makes sense.

Thiem was gassed. He had literally played every week since early April.
