Western Illinois 6 and 5?
I was right. A lot of geographic matchups.
Who was left out? Towson

McNeese got screwed. 4 seed, and will probably have to play Sam Houston St again in their first game in the second round. They just beat them what, two weeks ago? Hard to beat a team twice in the same season. Will be a huge hump to get over.

Towson was never in
But it's the way it was seeded. Western needed to be left out. UCA deserved in before Western.

Selu had to do it in 2013. Yes we needed a miracle but we did it.

You can make another tomorrow. You're much better at breaking everything down

Feel so bad for McNeese. How is the only undefeated team the 4 seed?
Sam Houston is licking there chops plus the fans won't show up because they just saw them two weeks ago
It's very tough to beat a team twice in a year and Sam Houston had a lot of missed opportunities first time around. this could be bama LSU from two years ago all over. Hope I'm wrong
Such BS

2 seed. Expected 4 for Illinois State. Time for some home December games in Normal!

Not to discredit MSU but they would have had 1 loss if the LSU game didn't get cancelled. They are probably where they should be, didn't help the rest of the conference sucked it up this year, outside of SHSU and UCA (who should be in IMO).
Good news though is they won't have to travel to Fargo or the Northeast and play in the snow.

Central Arkansas had their chance, bottom line is you can't get beat by 30 at home when all eyes are watching
Sam Houston is my outside pick to go all the way. They had lots of injuries and are playing lights out

To be fair to McNeese, they did hold that offense to 3 points.

Agreed. I think that's ultimately what kept them out (along with a weak SLC).

McNeese got screwed? I would trade NDSU's 3 seed for your 4 in a second.
Be happy to be in the easy half of the bracket. While NDSU and ISU slug it out in the other half. Committee did a horrific job this year, just a complete joke.

Have you watched LSU this year? You play the game for a reason.
I'm not going to say that McNeese would have won that game, but I'm not going to say that LSU would have won either. They did not look great against Miss State, and they haven't looked great all year. There have been flashes, but that is just it.
LSU likely would have won that game on depth alone. But if the last few years have been any indication, especially what happened in Lincoln last year, McNeese would have put up a fight.
The difference is, we may not have had only 1 loss. It could have very easily been multiple losses, because we tend to get pretty banged up in those FBS games.
I like the draw. Not crazy about potentially facing Sam Houston again, but I would rather see them again than Central. I think we match up well against Sam Houston, but there is no guarantee they make it back to Lake Charles. They have to play Southern Utah first.
Not going to lie, I'm glad the MVFC teams have to run the gauntlet. After watching them run their mouths on other forums for the past several weeks, I think it is sweet justice. They may still win it all (apparently some of them think this just means they will have an easy match up in the title game), but at least they will have to run the gauntlet of their own kind.
Committee did do a crap job though, but hey, it is what it is.
