2014 Georgia Southern Football

Is 7-2 and undefeated in Sun Belt play. And this is their first year in the FBS. They could be undefeated right now. They lost their first game against NC State by a score of 24-23 and lost in the final seconds to Georgia Tech by a score of 42-38. Not bad for a first year team.

They definitely have potential to become a power 5 team in the not too distant future.

Willie Fitz will be a power conference coach before too long. Hr had Sam Houston in two straight National championship games. I'm surprised he went to GA Southern rather than waiting on a larger/better job

Georgia State is a bigger school in a bigger market. They would be more attractive to an upper echelon conference.
