If a team lines up to go for 2 and the defense jumps off sides, then the offense, after accepting the penalty, decides to kick the extra point, where do they kick from?

I think most teams would accept the penalty and go for 2 at the one-yard line.

You cant. Once you elect to go for 2 you have to stick to it.

No, you can change your mind after a penalty. In your scenario the 5 yard penalty would be enforced and the ball snapped from the 10 for an extra point.

But this scenario would only happen if a team lacked the confidence in their kicker to make a 33 yard FG but think he's nails from 28.
