Will people please stop putting this team on a pedastle (sp?).Yes, in 1995 they were dominant. The most dominant team of all time, but can we please stop saying they could beat teams in 2016 with the triple fricking option.

I guess the 1985 bears could shut down the 2016 patriots as well

Who is saying they could beat an AFC all star (Pro Bowl?) team? Could you add some context?

We (speaking for the entire MSB) apologize. We let our guard down and actually started talking up a team besides Alabama.

It won't happen again. We are so sorry!

Many people think that they could beat 2016 Alabama or 2016 Clemson. In all honestly, 2016 LSU would blow them out with superior athletiscm

This is what happens when you derive self-worth from a college football team you don't play for and never played for.

I'm not soley talking about Alabama. A pet peeve of mine is people saying old teams decades ago could beat a team with today's athletes

Do you think the 01 canes could beat '16 Alabama?

If so, 6 years difference between '95 Nebraska and '01 Miami isn't that big of a leap in time

Man people are really salty about that A on my name. I was speaking more in general, not the tide

Maybe I'll change it to Vanderbilt so people won't get defensive

Yeah they only had 27 NFL players on that roster. They couldn't compete at all. Smh

They didn't allow a sack all season, their closest game was a 14-point win, and their average margin of victory in their 4 games against teams who finished in the Top 10 = 31 points.

If you go and look at how small their lines were, there is no way you can say 95 Nebraska could dominate today

They would kill him with it, just like they killed the Miami ends with it.

NU did not run much triple they ran just option, they ran the G Speed, Freeze, Sprint, Counter

Their TE RB and WR were surgeons with cutting.

If he went to OLB they would arc block it and cut him.

Option is all about execution.

And if you have the horses.

If do right, no can defend. - Miyagi

That's why small schools run it in high school, levels the playing field against bigger opponents.

Nebraska always had the speed and perfect execution. We're not talking about Navy athletes running the option here.

That's why you are jaded. All you see now is subpar athletes running the option these days.
