11 Alcorn State Players Arrested

Eleven Alcorn State football players have been arrested after authorities say a fight broke out on the school's Mississippi campus.
The fight started April 10 in the school's cafeteria. Officials said the event was captured on several cellphone cameras and widely circulated last week.
Claiborne County Sheriff Frank Davis said charges have been filed against each of the players by other students, according to multiple reports, and more arrests are likely to be made Thursday.
Davis said the charges against the players are all misdemeanors and range from malicious mischief to simple assault.
According to reports, the eleven players arrested are sophomore defensive backs Lei'shaun Ealey, Deago Sama and Quintin Smith, freshman defensive backs Taurence Wilson and Javen Morrison, junior defensive backs Daniel Franklin and Jalen Thomas, sophomore linebackers Terry Whittington and Trae Ferrell, freshman defensive lineman Kwanzi Jackson and junior defensive end Michael Brooks.
It's not clear whether any of the accused has an attorney.
"Maintaining a safe and secure campus community is the institution's top priority," Alcorn State said in a statement. "Campus police investigate all instances of student misconduct thoroughly and appropriate disciplinary actions are implemented in accordance with Alcorn's student code of conduct."

saw this on the local news. Looked like an all out brawl. Not surprised a good amount of the students were football players. Have no idea how the school was able to identify that many people involved from the video that i saw.

I saw one cafeteria fight like that in my time at the University of South Carolina. It involved members of the Gamecock football team, Q Dawgs and students from nearby Benedict College, an all black school.
If you want to see white people fight like that, it's usually at sporting events for their kids.

I was in a fraternity in college and have seen many, many brawls. 0 black people, all white people.

I'm just glad for everyone involved, regardless of race, that no weapons were involved. Misdemeanor charges and an arse whipping will soon be forgotten. Felony weapons charges, not so much.
