Getting a new work phone...can get the IPhone 6 or any Blackberry product.

Are the blackberry's good again or simply go with the 6? Folks in the legal dept have all gone blackberry and love them.

Use will be phone calls, business contact lists and emails.

Thanks

iphone... I had to make a similar decision between an iphone and a samsung. Decided on the iphone simply so I wouldn't have to carry around two different types of cords (personal phone is an iphone)

Blackberry is still the best with respect to security. This would be my preference. As a company they seem to be recovering, although an argument can and has been made that they are worth more broken apart than as it exists today.

After that I'd go with Apple.

Only if forced will I use the Google data thieving, borderline Unconstitutional products.

Get the BlackBerry Passport. It is a great phone for emailing and typing with a large 4.5" square screen. If you want a legacy device with the tool belt, go with the BlackBerry Classic. BB OS 10.3 has closed a lot of the gaps with iOS and Android.

There are a few discussions on the Tech Board about the BlackBerry Passport that you can check out:

Blackberry Passport & Classic coming out Friday on ATT

AT&T will soon sell an even sexier version of the BlackBerry Passport

I would surrender a nut to get my blackberry back. Unfortunately the IT department caved to the demands of all the fey bearded hipsters and pressured us to switch to an iphone. Typing out lengthy emails on an iphone is agonizing compared to the ease of use of a blackberry.

I use a BlackBerry for work everyday and love it. There is not a more efficient communication tool out there. Go for the Passport.

If it is mostly for email. Blackberry is king. Plus you don't have to charge it everyday like an iPhone

The passport and classic are pretty good.

Here is the deal.

If emails and texting are important to you, get the BB. I do alot of both, so therefor I like the BB better. Can't type on glass as fast and well. I like having all of my emails, texts, and other forms of messages such as FB, tweets, and voicemails on the same screen (Hub). I like having an HDMI port so I can plug into a big screen. THe main apps that exist, I have on my phone. I like having speed dial keys. The passport has a huge battery and will last longer. THe specs are very good. Its a different shaped phone but there are needs and uses for that shape of a screen. The browser is hard to beat and that includes Safari. BB's browser used to suck, now its really good.

Iphone is great if you want to tie into Apple ecosystem. Then there are the apps. If you want an app for everything, get the Iphone. The appstore is one of the best features of the Iphone and its damn good. If you read a bunch of documents and ebooks, the passport will be better. Siri is Siri. Its great and hard to beat although the voice systems are all getting better and closer in performance.
